Consul General of BiH in Chicago Eldin Kajevic presented advantages that BiH offers to the
American investors, economic indicators for BiH and emphasized commitment of our country to
the EU path.
Ibrahim Vajzovic, American businessman of BiH origin, informed the visitors about the experience
he had during his recent visit to BiH when he came with John Freeborn, the principal partner of
the Freeborn Development Group of Global Services (FDG Global Services), an American
investment company from Saint Louis that implements projects in 40 countries around the world.
John Freeborn identified projects in various BiH sectors and emphasized the energy sector with
investment potential of 2.5 billion dollars, mining and metal processing industry at the amount of
500 million dollars, forestry with amount of 500 million dollars as well as agriculture and cattle
farming with projects up to 250 million dollars worth. American investors were presently surprised
with a new image of BiH because up to now our country was not placed on their list of countries
which are potentially interesting for investments.
The established contacts and interest showed for this topic created conditions for a new
presentation of investment opportunities in BiH not only in Chicago but in many other regions of
the USA.
Promotional movie “Enjoy Business in Bosnia and Herzegovina” was screened at the presentation.
