Freeborn Receives International
Achievement Award
John Freeborn receives special award from MODEC
and DOC.
ST. LOUIS, Missouri—May 20, 2004— The St. Louis
International Partnership presented Mr. John Freeborn
with a special award at the “GROWING GLOBAL
CONFERENCE” sponsored by the Missouri District
Export Council [MODEC], the U.S. Department of
Commerce [DOC], the World Trade Center, the Boeing
Institute of International Business at St. Louis University,

ST. LOUIS, Missouri—May 20, 2004— The St. Louis
International Partnership presented Mr. John Freeborn
with a special award at the “GROWING GLOBAL
CONFERENCE” sponsored by the Missouri District
Export Council [MODEC], the U.S. Department of
Commerce [DOC], the World Trade Center, the Boeing
Institute of International Business at St. Louis University,
along with a host of other prominent business and education leaders in the International business
community.
Mr. Freeborn, also serving as moderator for the morning presentations, was surprised when Mr.
Stuart Dahlberg, MODEC Chairman, introduced the special award presentation and ceremony.
Mr. Randy LaBounty, Regional Director for the U.S. Dept of Commerce was on hand to
congratulate Mr. Freeborn along with the Acting Director General to the U.S. Commercial Service
Mr. Carlos Poza and the Honorable George Herbert Walker, U.S. Ambassador to Hungary.
“Needless to say I am surprised and honored to accept this award on behalf of the St. Louis
International Partnership,” exclaimed Mr. Freeborn. “I have had the pleasure of working with some
of the greatest talent available within our international community to support export opportunities
for small and medium sized business,” says Freeborn. “I am proud to have been selected for this
recognition of achievement amongst my peers.”
Mr. Freeborn is the founder and principal with the FREEBORN DEVELOPMENT GROUP and its
wholly owned subsidiary the FDG Financial Group. Both companies work closely with the business
community to identify alternative funding options on domestic and international projects. Mr.
Freeborn has more than 10 years of global business success and has managed projects in
excess of $130 million.
