FREEBORN To Chair 2009 World Trade Month
ST. LOUIS, Missouri—Sept 17, 2008—The St. Louis Regional International
Partnership voted in a unanimous decision to elect Mr. John Freeborn
Chairman of the St. Louis 2009 World Trade Month during their meeting
hosted at the Boeing Institute at St. Louis University today.

internationally focused organizations in the region who support efforts to increase international
trade, education, cultural exchanges, and world understanding to improve the socio-economic
and cultural well being of the St. Louis region specifically, and the world in general.

“The St. Louis Regional International Partnership has been instrumental in organizing some of the
highest caliber international events for the St. Louis region”, says Mr. Freeborn. “Past events
included delegations from numerous countries and high level participation from all of the
Partnership members. I look forward to working with Partnership members to offer the same
collaboration of teamwork to ensure the success of the St. Louis 2009 World Trade Day event.”

Mr. Freeborn serves on the Missouri District Export Council and is the Chairman of the Outreach
Committee. He also serves in a similar role with the Small Business Administration’s St. Louis
Small Business Week committee.

Mr. Freeborn is considered an expert on international business. He has provided seminars and
briefings on trade development, export financing, competition and export strategy, market
research and analysis and joint venture development. John is also often called upon to share his
expertise, working with foreign businesses and government agencies and is a frequent lecturer on
international business and marketing.
